What are the Requirements to be SAC Member?

 

Although we are a relaxed and fun organization, there are a few things that we expect of all members:

 

           1. Attend Meetings
           2. Do at least one office hour a week
           3. Help at events when possible.

 

All of the following actions will help you aquire Superstars which affect the membership rewards you recieve and determine whether or not you recieve voting rights.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

When and where are SAC Meetings?

 

SAC meetings are every Wednesday at 9:00pm in the SAC Office (Campus Center, Room 476 - Fourth floor across from the bathrooms). For commuters or anyone else who cannot attend the regular meeting, we also have meetings Wednesdays at 2:30pm in the same room. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What are Superstars?

 

Superstars are an important part of our organization. The number of "stars" that you aquire determine the membership rewards you recieve as well as your eligibility for voting rights. Superstars can be obtained in the following ways:

 

         1 Star for Attending a Meeting
         1 Star/Office Hour (Max 3/Week)
         1 Star for Attending an Event
         2 Stars for Attending and Helping at an Event

 

Bonus stars may also be assigned by any member of the E board at there discresion. However, these stars are only given out if a member goes above and beyond what is expected of them (ie. putting up more than half of the fliers in a given week). Superstars can also be lost. If you fail to show up for your schedules office hour without informing the eboard member in charge of your hour you lose one star.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

What are Member Rewards?

 

In order to recognize members who are active in our organization, we give prizes to students as they gain more Superstars. Each semester there are several tiers at which members recieve prizes. The number of stars needed to reach each tier is decided each semester depending on what the prizes are as well as how many stars can be attained during that semester. Past prizes have included mugs, water bottles, a variety of t shirts, and bags.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

How Do Office Hours Work?

 

We ask that each member helps out in the office during an assigned timeslot one hour per week. We ask this for several reasons. First, since we are such a large organization and we run at least one event every week, there is lots of work that needs to be done. Second, and more importantly, office hours help to make our members more involved. Office hours allow our members to contribute to the organization in meaningful ways as well as work directly with the eboard.
